A THEATER WITHOUT THEATER

Lets start with a double negative: A Theater Without Theater is neither a history of theater nor a collection of works by those artists who have designed stage sets. On the contrary, this volume examines how the theatrical has changed our perception of the nature of the work of art and its place within the realm of the visible. It is, in short, a reflection on how subjectivities are shaped and on the subjects place within the fabric of discourses and ideologies.
